Mijn Bibliotheek (renewal, lists, manage membership cards,...)
If you provided your email address at the library desk when registering at the library, you will automatically receive an email a few days before the loan period expires.
Tip: make sure you also check whether the e-mail has ended up in a spam folder.
Are you not receiving the automatic emails yet? Contact the library and we will fix this for you.
When you have a Mijn Bibliotheek (My Library) profile you can:
- Renew your borrowed items online or make a reservation (you can only renew your items once)
- Search the digital GoPress newspaper archive at home
- Manage memberships from different libraries or different family members together. You can link as many membership cards as you wish to one profile.
- Create and save lists of your favorite library items
The library catalogue
If an item can be reserved, you will see a Reserve button on the detail screen of the item. If you are not yet registered you will be requested to register, then you can choose the copy that you wish to reserve and you will receive information about the cost price €0,50 per item.
When the reserved material is ready for you in the library, you will receive an email or letter from the library.
Yes, you can use the "Interbibliothecair Leenverkeer" or "Interlibrary Loan Traffic" service (IBL for short).
You can find out which other libraries in Flanders own the item you are looking for. To do this, click on the detail page of an item on the Search in other libraries in Flanders link or go to Bibliotheek.be directly.
Contact the Harelbeke library to place an IBL request. We ask for a contribution to the shipping costs of 2.50 euros. As soon as the item has arrived in our library we will send you a notification.
